Hey there from AptoNow! I joined this vibrant Melbourne-based start-up in July 2023 as a Senior Consultant and in doing so have truly found a place where passion meets purpose. Seeing the opportunity that emerging technologies offer for more connected, accessible, and inclusive student experiences, I was drawn to the opportunity AptoNow presented to make a real difference in higher education globally. Every day here brings fresh challenges and opportunities to make a real impact.
We’re not just consultants—we’re visionaries, innovators, and change-makers, driven by a shared passion for higher education. We offer traditional consulting capabilities but not in a traditional way, integrating customer-centred approaches with deep expertise in machine learning and advanced analytics. This enables us to work collaboratively with our clients, delivering data-driven insights and co-creating solutions that are tailored to their unique goals rather than just ready-made answers. For me, this approach is what sets us apart from other consulting firms and really attracted me to working for AptoNow. I finish projects knowing we’ve not only delivered genuine value but have done so authentically, taking pride in supporting our clients reach their potential as leaders, change agents, and human beings.
A few of the projects I’ve loved working on in my first year with AptoNow include:
Developing a Sustainability Strategy for a Canberra University: This was a rewarding project where we developed a comprehensive Sustainability Strategy, which was endorsed by the University Council. It’s fulfilling to know our work is making a long-term positive impact on the campus and for the community beyond.
A New Academic Calendar for a Regional NSW University: In this project we worked closely with University leadership to shift from a traditional semester-based model to a more flexible academic calendar model. Through a comprehensive engagement process with staff and students, we co-designed a calendar that better supports diverse learning styles and evolving academic needs. This was a significant transformation project that I felt really proud to be a part of.
Shaping AptoNow's Product Vision: One of the most exciting parts of my role is contributing to our product vision and strategy. From brainstorming to strategic planning, I get to see my ideas turn into innovative solutions for higher education. It's incredibly rewarding to witness the direct impact of our work on the company’s growth.
What I love most about AptoNow is the team culture we are building — a place that attracts ambitious problem solvers who also genuinely care for and support one another. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and embrace challenges as learning journeys, fostering shared ownership and discovery in the way we work.
